The Big Conversation Isle of Wight
The Big Conversation is an exciting project that will enable people who use adult social care services on the Isle of Wight to contribute and have a voice in decisions about the services they receive.…
The Involving People Isle of Wight service aims to ensure that people who use social care services have a voice in and are always at the centre of the services that they receive.
We provide opportunities for Isle of Wight residents to be involved in discussions about services and strategies, and to work together to co-produce and create solutions. We believe that having greater insight into what is working well will help to ensure that those services are better able to respond to people’s needs.
We believe in the power of open and trusting relationships to drive better outcomes for Island residents and communities. We are dedicated to empowering people and communities to live the lives they want to live.
Social Justice
is at the heart of all we do.
Innovation
we are brave, agile and open minded.
Personal
we are person centred.
Collaborative
we know we can’t do it alone; we work alongside others.

The first phase of The Big Conversation is taking place this autumn and winter and is focussed on empowering people with a learning disability to share their experiences and views. The Isle of Wight Council is updating its Learning Disability Strategy and has asked Involving People to find out what is working well and what people want and need to improve their well-being.
